At Chania Medical Training College, our Caregiver Level 4 programme trains you to provide respectful, professional, and practical care to patients who need support with daily activities. This course equips you with essential skills for caregiving in hospitals, residential care settings, elderly homes, and community health programmes. The curriculum is accredited by TVET‑CDACC, giving you a nationally recognised qualification and hands‑on competence that employers value.

Duration & Mode

Level 4 — typically 6–12 months (full‑time) combining classroom instruction, practical skills labs, and supervised clinical attachments.

Mode: Full‑time (some flexible/part‑time options may be offered on request by the college).

What you will learn

The TVET CDACC curricula are competency-based and grouped into Basic, Common and Core competencies. Below are representative modules you’ll find in each level (modules and unit titles vary slightly between institutions but follow TVET CDACC occupational standards).

Level 4

• Introduction to caregiving and supportive care principles

• Personal care skills (bathing, grooming, feeding support)

• Observation and reporting of basic vital signs

• Communication and interpersonal skills in care settings

• Infection prevention and control

• Safety, emergency response, and basic first aid

• Ethics, confidentiality, and professional conduct

• Supervised attachment in healthcare facilities or community care settings

Practical training & attachments

Practical experience is central to this programme:

• Supervised caregiving practices in hospitals, clinics, elderly homes, or community centres

• Role‑plays, case scenarios, and real‑life care simulations

• Workplace assessments to demonstrate practical competence
