At Chania Medical Training College, our Health Service Support course trains students to assist healthcare professionals in hospitals, clinics, and health centers. You’ll learn essential skills such as patient care, infection prevention, basic laboratory procedures, and administration in health facilities. TVET-CDACC-accredited training ensures you gain hands-on experience and practical competencies that make you job-ready.

Duration & mode

Level 5 — About 12 months (full–time), with deeper practical experience and extended attachments in real health facilities

Level 4 — About 6–12 months (full–time), blending classroom lessons, practical skills labs, and clinical attachments

What you will learn

The TVET CDACC curricula are competency-based and grouped into Basic, Common and Core competencies. Below are representative modules you’ll find in each level (modules and unit titles vary slightly between institutions but follow TVET CDACC occupational standards).

Level 4

• Fundamentals of communication, numeracy & digital literacy

• Infection prevention and control

• Hospital housekeeping procedures

• Supportive store procedures

• First aid basics in healthcare settings

• Organisation of health facilities

• Industrial attachment in health facilities

This foundational level prepares you for entry‑level support roles in health facilities and is a stepping stone to Level 5 training.

Level 5

• Advanced communication, numeracy & digital literacy

• First aid and emergency support in healthcare

• Medical‑legal ethics in health service support

• Common diseases and clinical support procedures

• Outpatient and inpatient support services

• Mortuary techniques and hospital catering services

• Infection prevention & control and hospital housekeeping

• Industrial attachment in hospitals and clinics

Level 5 builds on Level 4 with advanced support skills and workplace competencies employers value.
